gallery: iceberg pins
The glittering ice palaces that drift by Newfoundland and Labrador each spring were born far away from rivers of ice: the glaciers that flow from Greenland’s ice cap to its coast. Several years can pass as these icebergs make their majestic way south. They slowly melt with each passing minute and mile, until they finally disappear under the waves and beneath the summer sun.In this iceberg-inspired broach, Alexis Templeton has used a crystalline glaze to capture and commemorate the magic and sparkle of their distinctive blues, whites, and greens.
